Spread the Dub... but Come Original

Early forms of dub can be found in artists such as 311, who were big advocates of prcticing what they preach. Hence the song Come Original. Like I've noted I love the Dub genre, but a lot of bands are falling into a  trend of sounding like the genres arguably biggest band, Slightly Stoopid. I was at Murphy's Downtown last Wednesday on their local music night and came across the band Vicious Groove. The set was mostly covers, but the originals for a lack of a better term did not Come Original. I checked Vicious Groove's myspace page, and found one of their originals, Mr.RastaMan. I like the tune but couldn't help but think that the song sounds and is exactly premised off Slightly Stoopid's 'Collie man'.
