Buzz Bake Sale Analysis Volume 3: The Awesome!

Realistically there is only one person that would make me attend this years Buzz Bake Sale, that artist is the one-and-only, MATISYAHU! The music of Matisyahu has legitimately changed my life for the positive. With a message of peace and praise for the Jewish religion, Matisyahu delivers a message in the unique Dub genre. He is an amazing artist who made me seriously reconsider my life choices and goals. Here is Matisyahu's latest single "One Day," as well as my favorite song "Time of Your Song."

Buzz Bake Sale Analysis Volume 1: The Good

So there's only a few bands that I'm feeling this year. Unfortunately, it seems as if the quality of booking as steadily decreased since I first started going to the Bake Sale nearly 8 years ago. These bands make the list of "The Good," in the next few segments you will find what bands make "The Bad" section, and there is one act I consider "Amazing." Tune in to see who makes the cut!

Here is this years bands I consider (or once considered) good bands :

the used

panic at the disco

skindred

Check out one of The Used's first songs "Box Full of Sharp Objects," this was one of my favorite all time songs.

Another Midnight Madness in the Books

Midnight Madness has become a popular event to the residents of Deerfield Beach. This year's event did not quite hold the same ambience as last years, but the music performances and skate exhibitions were still quite entertaining. Last year Less Than Jake rocked the stage and had Deerfield youths in an uproar, this year it seemed like Stampede stole the show. The event was put on by Island Water Sports of Deerfield Beach, and I'm sure the Deerfield Beach citizens can't wait for next years festivities.

South Florida Local Sound Check

South Florida Local Sound Check is a section of the 93 Rock website that is geared towards the promotion and advancement of South Florida's local bands. I love this site, it offers a lot of information on most of South Florida's emerging music scene. You can view band biographies, show dates, awesome links and much more. The site is managed by 93 Rock's "Local Lunatic" Spano.

What I really enjoy is the "what others are saying" section. From what I've seen it is great PR for the bands, and I'm sure they appreciate the compliments. Here are some comments about the band Dear Dad, Yours Truly. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Once again...
Gotta say that Dear Dad, Yours Truly is THE best band EVER! PLEEEEAAAASSEEEEEEEE Keep rocking.

Dear Dad, Yours Truly
I think they are what we have been waiting for...The new generation of Rock... and WAY better than I imagined it would be! I absolutely LOVE this band! I can't wait to hear more from them and jam to them in my car radio!
